Flushing Systems

Vacflush

Vacflush is a patented vacuum system, used to clean tank floors and sewers without the need for hazardous man entry into the tank. As there is no requirement for man entry, a single maintenance engineer rather than a confined space team can carry out maintenance. Its simple and ingenious design means it is the future for tank and sewer flushing systems. With over 1000 installations carried out all over the world, Vacflush is a proven technology, ideal for hassle free and cost effective tank and sewer flushing.

Applications

The Vacflush System can be installed in:

·          Circular Storm Tanks

·          Rectangular Storm Tanks

·          Sewer Networks

Benefits

·          No submerged moving parts

·          No man entry required for maintenance.

·          No risk of blockage

·          High volume flushing action even after small spills

·          Low energy requirements

·          Cleaning action utilises storm water from the tank

·          Robust construction

·          Minimal maintenance

·          Designed for automatic control

·          Variable running options such as mixing the tank water by flushing into a half filled tank which reduces settlement

·          For circular tanks, the flushing chamber column can be used as a structural support

Flows

·          Units designed and sized to suit your required design parameters

tipping buckets

Tipping buckets are a simple cost effective means of cleaning storm water storage tanks. Tipping buckets are simply troughs suspended in a tank on two bearings when the troughs are filled with water the centre of gravity shifts and the bucket tips, depositing a volume of water at velocity into the tank thereby cleaning the tank floor. The buckets may be filled manually or automatically. No power is required for a manual filling system. A suitable supply of wash water is needed.

Applications

·          Tipping Buckets can be installed in:

·          Rectangular Storm Tanks

·          In conjunction with Static Screens to assist with screen cleaning

·          CSO’s

·          Wet Wells

·          Pumping Stations

Benefits

·          Low cost

·          Low maintenance

·          Stainless Steel Construction (304 & 316)

·          Easily retrofitted into existing tanks

flushing gates

Flushing Gates are a simple cost effective means of cleaning storm water storage tanks and sewer networks. Hydraulically controlled gates allow tanks and sewers to be cleaned by utilising the pressure of the head of water in the flushing chamber. Not recommended for below ground applications where Vacflush should be used for safety reasons.

Applications

Flushing Gates can be installed in:

·          Rectangular Storm Tanks – Above ground only

·          Shallow Open Tanks

Benefits

·          Low cost

·          Storm Water can be used as the flushing media, so no separate water supply is required

·          Low energy consumption

·          Repeated flushes possible if required

·          Tank volume is not reduced because of the flushing chamber

·          Flushing system designed to provide up to 4 metres height within the flushing chamber

·          The gates close only when flow enters the tank/sewer. This prevents damage to the seal caused by the gates being closed for the majority of the time. Thus the efficiency of the system is maintained over a longer period

·          Stainless Steel Construction (304 & 316)
